Hi all! I hope you all have fully recovered from our Gold Rush campout!! Thank you to all parents and scouts for making that event so awesome! Even in the pouring rain you all truly carried the scouting spirit!!! Below are our next round of events coming up.
Food Drive - this continues through the end of the month. Bring in items that can help fill the free pantry for Woodland! Deliver them to your den leader to count up first! The winning den with the most items wins a pizza party from the church. Right now the Bears are in the lead! Are you other dens really going to let them win?Popcorn - You all are doing amazing!!! Remember from David's email - only those that have sold popcorn will be invited to the pizza party!! Please don't hesitate to ask questions if you need help!
Oct 22 - Woodland UMC Trunk or Treat
Oct 23 - Regular den meetings
Oct 30 - Pack 109 Trunk or Treat. Meet in the gym for a few announcements. We will then parade out around the pumpkin patch and have our very own trunk or treat! If you have an empty trunk we'd love to have you decorate and hand out candy! We currently only have three signed up. If you can't decorate, maybe you can donate some goodies to hand out? November 17-19 Webelos Woods - open to all Arrow of Light (5th grade) Scouts. This course aims to help Arrow of Light Scouts and their families understand the workings of a Scouts BSA Troop and how they will fit within the structure of their Troop using the Patrol Method. Each participant is required to have a parent/guardian attend. Two tents will be needed as parents will not be tenting with your child. To clarify - parents and their youth will be tenting separately. There will be instructional classes for all attending adults teaching you about the Scouts BSA program separate from the youth. If you have multiple Scouts attending from your family, only 1 parent is required. AOLs will discuss this with their den leader.
November Pack Meeting - I have a service idea in mind but it will take several of us to make it work. If you have free time and are good with fabric and scissors......let me know!
Dec 1-3 - Yorktown Trip. Registration is now closed for this event. Please make sure that all balances are paid asap. More details are coming to those that have signed up.
Spring events to add to your calendar - Georgia Aquarium March 9-10 and campout at Chester State Park May 10-12
For those of you that get Scout Life magazine - take a close look at the November issue that is coming out soon. You might just recognize a few faces!
