Flags for Heroes
This Saturday, Sept 7 starts a week long celebration where we honor our heroes by displaying flags at Winthrop Coliseum. Flags will be on display all week so please take some time to visit. If you are a Webelos or AOL scout and would like to help set the flags up, be at Winthrop Coliseum at 8am in full uniform on Saturday. You can text/email me for specifics. On Wednesday, September 11 at 6pm there will be a retirement ceremony near the Shack at Winthrop Lake. Please be in full uniform if you are attending. This is open to all scouts and general public.
New Scout Shooting event https://scoutingevent.com/549-
This event is designed for new Cub Scouts or current Cub Scouts who recruited a friend this year. Activities will include BB Guns (age 6+), Archery, Slingshot, Games and more. To be able to provide this event in a safe manner, we will be limiting the size of the event by having families book a specific time slot when you register.
A mobile Scout Shop will also be present to help with your new uniform needs. This is a family friendly event, so siblings and family members are welcome to attend and those who are ages 6 and up will be able to participate in all activities.
We will not be providing a meal, but please feel free to bring a picnic lunch for your family.
Date: Saturday, September 28, 2024
Location: Wilksburg Baptist Church (3137 Pinckney Road, Chester, SC 29706).

Saturday morning is designated for pack time and the afternoon features the Gold Rush Games where each pack will bring a unique game and Scouts will mine for gold to serve as their ticket to play. This is a family campout but camping is optional and you are welcome to just come for the fun. All adults present must be either registered leaders, parents or legal guardians. Siblings under 18 years old are welcome as well. Please fill out this form to indicate your participation in York District Gold Rush - Oct 18-20, 2024. Deadline to sign up is Sept 23rd.
Sept 16 is our next Pack Meeting.
We are holding it early so that we can properly kick off our popcorn selling season! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need ALL of you to sell! It is with this fundraiser that we pay for supplies, awards and patches that your scouts earn throughout the year! Did you know if cost the pack almost $100 per scout to provide our programming? So SELL, SELL, SELL!! There will be opportunities for you to sell storefront, go door-to-door and sell online!
The Pack meeting will have several stations all about camping as well as our popcorn station for you to learn more. You don't want to miss this one!
Troop Web Host https://www.troopwebhostc.../
For those of you that are new, troop web host is our platform for keeping track of our payments for events and the fundraising money your scouts earn throughout the year. I just sent out emails with usernames for those that did not have an account. For those that have a balance due, please get those paid off asap.
