Pack 109 Updates - 1/16/2024

Hi Scout Family! There is a lot to catch up on so read carefully!!!

Georgia Aquarium -
Join us for an overnight adventure at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta March 9-10! Event is for the immediate family of scouts only and open to both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA. We are limited in the number of people that can attend so we need to make sure we give everyone an opportunity! Must be at least 6 years old to attend. Cost of $111 per person includes admission, sleeping all together as a big group in the aquarium, snack on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning. In order to reserve your spot you must pay $50 per person deposit. Final payment is due February 5th. We have filled half of our spots already so don't miss out!

Every family will have to pay parking per car. There is an option to prepay parking for $15.

What does my sleepover include? This sleepover adventure includes: • Georgia Aquarium admission • Next-day entry into our 22.5 The Fin Sea Lion Presentation* • Next-day entry into Dolphins Celebration at the Dolphin Coast Theater* • Gallery and Backstage Tours • Evening Snacks and Hot Breakfast** • Sleeping Mat

Scouting for Food -
Flyer hand out is next weekend, Saturday Jan 27th. Please be sure to sign up for your favorite neighborhood! Door hangers will be passed out to scouts at our next den meeting with a neighborhood map. Set a time to meet up with your group on Saturday, Jan 27 in the morning and hand them out! The following Saturday you will return to that same neighborhood and collect the food that was donated. All food will be taken to Pilgrims Inn for donation.

Pinewood Derby - Pinewood Derby cars are to be turned in at our next den meeting. Scouts are to report to their den for regular meeting. We will then call each den separately to come to the STEM lab to turn them in. Please be sure to read the rules so that there are no issues with the cars! Race begins at 1pm on Saturday, Feb 3rd, after the food collection is complete. Also, our Troop will be cooking a hotdog lunch for those that are interested before the derby.

Blue and Gold banquet - It's almost time for our Blue and Gold on Feb 26th! This is the time of year that our scouts earn their rank they've been working hard on all year. If you are unsure how your scout is doing towards completing the requirements, please talk to your den leader. Things get missed so make sure you know where your scout stands! This is also the night that our AOL boys will be crossing over to Troop 109. It's a big night for all so be sure to attend and bring your cameras!

If you have any questions please let me know!
