Pack 109 Updates - 3/7/2024

Good morning Scout Families. I wanted to provide you with an update on events coming up.

- This Saturday is our overnight at the Georgia Aquarium. I'll send one last email out to that group today.

- Next Saturday, the 16th, is our Popcorn Rewards STEM day at Carowinds. If you sold the award minimum on popcorn last fall you received a separate email from council to sign up for that. See you folks there next Saturday!

- Monday, the 18th, during regular den meetings, I will hold a special parent meeting for anyone interested in learning more about the upcoming Cub Scout program changes that take affect June 1. If you cannot make it to this meeting, I will hold another one online on Wednesday, March 20. Here is the link:

- March 27 is our York District Pinewood Derby held at Unity Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill. Race starts at 7pm for anyone that would like to attend. 303 Tom Hall St, Fort Mill, SC 29715

- April 11 we are participating in the Come See Me Parade . I'm still looking for a wagon with sides so we can create a float. We will have a few scouts on the float and have room for 25 walkers behind the float. There will be a sign up coming very soon!

- May 10-12 we are camping as a Pack at Chester State Park. Much more to come, but look forward to some great food, fishing, and lots of fun! If any parent would like to be involved in planning this campout just let me know!

- May 20 is our last meeting of the year. We will do our final awards and have a picnic!

- June 13 -15 is our summer resident camp at Camp Durant in Carthage, NC. Price is $100 for the first scout and then $50 if you have a sibling or a second scout attending. Adults (must take YPT training or be a registered leader) are $30. You will register on your own here: Please send me a copy of your receipt that you will get by email after registration is complete. That way we can be sure everyone going gets the correct information.

- June 17-21 is York District Day Camp held at Bethlewoods. For more information and to register go here:

More fun to be had over the summer with bike riding, disc golf and anything else you would like to suggest!
